Pierce Atwood names six new partners

PORTLAND, Maine – Pierce Atwood LLP announced the following attorneys were named firm partners:

Mark Rosen, based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, represents companies and financial services firms in class action litigation, securities litigation, and complex and high-stakes business litigation including breach of contract actions arising out of commercial transactions, business combinations, privatizations and financings. Rosen also represents owners and contractors in construction disputes and litigation concerning complex commercial projects and the award of government contracts.

Michael Anderson, based in Portland, focuses on general corporate, transactional, securities law, commercial finance, and antitrust, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, public and private offerings, securities law compliance, and corporate governance for both publicly and privately held companies.

Sam Blatchley, based in Boston and Providence, Rhode Island, represents vessel owners and operators, charterers, construction and dredging firms, freight forwarders, inland carriers, lenders, marina operators, marine surveyors, marine trades providers, stevedores, and terminal operators in maritime litigation, as well as in marine-related commercial and corporate transactions.

Kris Eimicke, based in Portland, concentrates on tax issues with an emphasis on state and federal new markets tax credit programs, renewable energy tax credits and historic rehabilitation tax credits.

Jana Magnuson, based in Portland, works with individuals and families to create flexible estate plans and provides guidance with respect to the transfer of assets, including real estate, into trust and entity ownership. She regularly advises trustees with respect to trust administration and trust and estate settlement agreements.

Nolan Reichl, based in Portland, has represented some of the top institutional clients in Maine and the United States in numerous complex commercial actions, including Central Maine Power, Nestlé Waters, and Eli Lilly & Company. Nolan has litigated and won cases in Maine’s state and federal trial courts, the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Brock, earns CFP board certification

HAMPTON – Jared H. Brock, CFP, financial planner and municipal client advisor at Bearing Point Wealth Partners in Hampton, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of to use the Certified Financial Planner and CFP certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements.

PORTSMOUTH – RE/MAX Shoreline welcomes luxury property specialist and long-time South End resident Steve Gray to its Portsmouth office as a broker.

Gray comes to RE/MAX Shoreline with 30 years of experience as the president of Curry Realtors as well as a background in the financial, computer and telecommunications industries for corporations such as Dunn + Bradstreet and Shearson American Express. He holds licenses in Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

Gray has successfully overseen thousands of transactions for his former firm and has personally had sales far exceeding the $100 million mark. He is also proud to be a seasoned rental manager currently overseeing 25 properties for absentee owners.

Having moved to Portsmouth from Wilton, Connecticut, in 1985, Gray has become highly familiar with all that the city and surrounding communities have to offer.
