Virgin Atlantic is introducing a network-wide spring/summer menu across all cabins from April 5.

The menu in Upper Class will include lobster and crab tortellini, a vegetarian poke bowl and a Pimms summer pudding, while the airline is also serving Whispering Angel rosé wine to its business class passengers for six months.

The cabin’s extra bites menu, meanwhile, will include a club sandwich filled with applewood cheese, house slaw and seasonal leaves alongside salted crisps, as well as aloo tiki with pepper pakora and a tomato and onion salad, accompanied by  sweet tomato and chill chutney.

Passengers will also be able to enjoy a new strawberries and cream flavoured ice cream from Northern Bloc, and a teapigs peach iced tea.

Those in premium economy will be offered the choice of chicken pie or spinach and ricotta tortellini with sage butter sauce, roasted pumpkin and caper panko crumb, followed by a passionfruit and mango cheesecake garnished with coconut.

Meanwhile, honey barbecue chicken thigh with Portuguese rice and steamed vegetables will be served in economy, alongside farfalle with spinach ricotta cheese and roasted garlic sauce.

In honour of the King’s Coronation taking place on May 6, customers across all cabins on flights departing the UK for the US and Caribbean from May 6-8 will be offered a packet of Joe & Seph’s Kings Coronation raspberry and white chocolate-coated popcorn. Upper Class customers flying on the day of the coronation will also receive a mini bottle of Lanson Black Label Champagne to mark the moment.

The airline will continue to commemorate the occasion with a special Mile High Tea in Upper Class and Premium over the weekend, which will include three finger sandwiches with fillings of dill cream cheese and roasted peppers, cheddar cheese, pickle and mixed leaf, and vegetarian coronation chickpea.

Sweet snacks will include a warm scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and a trio of mini pâtisseries: raspberry and rosewater macaroon, calisson white chocolate and earl grey ganache, and a red, white and blue Battenburg.

The airline will also celebrate the Easter bank holiday weekend by serving Cocoba chocolate lollies in all cabins on flights departing the UK for the US and Caribbean from April 7-10.

On land, Virgin Atlantic is partnering with Full Circle Farms at its London Heathrow Clubhouse. The community farm carries out small-scale, regenerative farming processes in West Sussex, and will provide a variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs to the lounge menu by July.
