Saquon Barkley seems to be still upsetting New York fans two months after his exit. The running back spent the first six years of his NFL career with the New York Giants, and has now embraced Philadelphia, even cheering for the 76ers against the New York Knicks.

Barkley's departure from the Giants was controversial, as he left for NFC East rivals on a three-year, $37.75 million contract after failing to agree on an extension with his hometown team. Despite having offers from other teams, Barkley chose the Eagles, believing they offer him the best chance of victory.

This means he'll be facing his former team twice a season for the foreseeable future. Adding fuel to the fire, Barkley was spotted this week sitting courtside at an NBA Playoffs game between the Sixers and the Knicks, alongside fellow Eagles star AJ Brown.

It seems Barkley has severed his ties with New York - he's been posting numerous messages about enjoying life in Philadelphia, including the city's atmosphere.

During the NBA playoff game, Barkley received messages from disgruntled Knicks fans on social media. His response?

"It's been two months... lol no way ya can still be this mad... can't even go to a basketball game."

He later added: "Side note that game was crazy lit! ! Got me geeked for homes games at the linc (Lincoln Financial Field)."

Another fan took to Twitter to accuse Barkley of 'bailing' on New York, to which he clapped back: "Let me educate some of you fans here... I can't bait or become a traitor if I never got an offer to come back... so I went to the organization I felt that was the best and after already being here for a month man I'm excited to be a eagle! Go birds."

Despite his apparent relish in riling up his former team's supporters, Barkley has admitted to having regrets about how he managed his departure.

"To the Giants fans that were hurt by me leaving, I have nothing but respect for all those guys," Barkley reflected. "For the last six years, they've been great to me and my family and created so many memories. I don't think I really handled it the right way on social media."

"I think I could've given a proper goodbye. Like I said, once I announced it, everything kinda got hectic. But I am forever grateful for the Giants fans and so thankful for them. But unfortunately, the NFL is a business."

The Eagles' roster also saw the presence of their first two draft picks, cornerbacks Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean at the game - both potential starters for the upcoming season.
